Bon Ga, a new Korean BBQ restaurant is located in Solaris, Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. For those who are not familiar, Solaris is a new business square which you can reach when you drive along the road uphill from Mont Kiara business square. Kind of an up and down ride. Refer to the map photo if you aren’t too sure. You will not miss Bon Ga with its red neon lights if you drive by at night. Just look to the left when coming from Mont Kiara.
We went to Bon Ga after it was “deliciously” featured in Personal Money. It is located on the second floor and third floor of a building. But not to worry, it’s got elevator from the ground floor. Our first impression is that Bon Ga is a busy place. It’s got lots of customers… However, not to worry. Out of 6 times we were there, we still manage to get a place without waiting or reservation.
The menu gives you a typical selection of what’s in other Korean restaurant. But as I looked closer, it says “All ingredient are fly in from Korea”. Interesting… Then we find FISH in the menu. This is the very second time we tried fish in a Korean restaurant. It is not very typical, and the first one wasn’t worth blogging about. We were quite impressed with the taste of the fish. But sorry guys, we forgot to bring our camera when we ordered this. When we tried to order it again, they ran out of fish or supplies, until next month. Order it if you can, it’s about RM28 if I am not wrong.
The servings here a quite large. The side dishes, BBQ and everything else is 1.3 – 1.5 portion of what we get from other Korean restaurant. So don’t over order, else you may get an overweight buzzer from the elevator on your way down!
Bon Ga gave us a new dimension to Korean food. The taste is different. Very delicious and mouth watering, and as Personal Money pointed out, the serving is really fit for kings.
Here is a quick summary why we love Bon Ga Korean BBQ restaurant
- Water is served complimentary once you step into the restaurant.
-Bigger side dishes (8-12 varieties) is served FOC and refillable too!
-Korean food consisted lots of vegetables, mostly high fiber food. Korean food= healthy yummy food.
- Food taste is superb! Delicious and mouth watering. We haven’t try their beef yet. It is supposed to be the chef recommendation if you know what I mean
-Buzzer to call your waiter or waitress

All the side dishes served was delicious, another attraction at Bonga is – you will get lots of vegetables in your serving. Their kim chi was fresh and crunchy.

Chicken Jumuluk RM28.00, the chicken was marinated using Bonga special recipe sauce. Once the chicken was put on the pan, a pleasant aroma …. This chicken was nice, I didnt know what the ingredients to marinate this but the smell of parsley was strong and invigorating…

Another attraction was the dessert, you can choose between coffee, tea or shaved ice. Shaved ice was mixed with preserved fruits and red beans. Hmm…dessert was free of charge. But please ask for it if they forgot
