Uncle’s Lim Cafe is a modernized kopitiam while maintaining the old charm and taste. Situated at Ikano Power Centre, Uncle’s Lim serves the best bread toast (roti baker) in town. The taste bring back the memories of the old age where my grandfather and I used to ‘yam cha’ at an old kopitiam and enjoyed those roti bakar, I could ate up 4 pieces…The roti bakar was nicely toasted using charcoal with fragrant kaya and butter that tasted so yummy and I cant find the same one at this age till I tried Uncles Lim’s …Besides charcoal toasted bread, Uncle Lim’s Cafe serving quite an extensive of all time favorite menu such as nasi lemak, mee laksa, curry puff, otak otak…and of course it is halal.

Roti bakar, RM1.90 – a must when eating at Uncle Lim’s Cafe. Ooo…Crispy white bread plus the kaya (which was rich in coconut milk) and the half melted butter (the spread was rather generously), it was just so yummy…

Whole meal roti bakar, RM2.80- the improved version of roti bakar on whole meal bread. A more healthier option for those who needs it. It taste different from the regular roti bakar and I must say, it better than the regular roti bakar though a little pricey…

Omega A half-boiled eggs, RM1.90 (for two eggs) that went so well with soya sauce and pepper. Unlike other half boil egg from other kopitiam, Uncle Lim’s is always nicely done and up to expectation. There are times when I find myself getting sub standard half boil egg from other kopitiam that are half + a little bit more boil egg. Uncle Lim’s is quite consistent so far.

Curry Puff, RM1.60 – We order curry puff as we did not want to spoil our lunch by ordering rice or noodle. It turns out the curry puff is quite filling if you take 2. There is egg as well, beside the other normal curry puff filling (potato, chicken cubes) . Taste wise is above average.

Special Teh C, RM3.90- Unlike the normal Teh C you find in the regular kopitiam, Uncle Lim’s version is really special, as it’s name suggest. From the picture, you will see 3 layer of substance. I think the last layer is gula melaka. What do you think? The taste is absolutely marvelous too.

Uncle Lim’s kopitiam is always jammed packed. Before sure to get there early if you want good seat.
