My first experience with sushi was few years back, and it was at one of the Sushi King outlet. In my opinion, they serve quite good affordable sushi if compare to Genki Sushi. But, not anymore till I tried Sushi Zanmai @ One Utama shopping centre. Sushi Zanmai serves very fresh ingredients at very affordable price too (color plate starts from RM1.80/ plate). Tagged with the genuine conveyor sushi restaurant, Sushi Zanmai provide more than 100 assortments of sushi and 100 varieties of cooked food that are authentically Japanese. And they use only Japanese rice for their sushi.
For a quick lunch, my friends and I ordered Chicken Katsudon- RM8.80 , Oyako Don – RM8.80 as main course. We then had some sushi from the conveyor belt – Salmon – RM3.80, Toro Salmon (Salmon belly) – RM4.80, Magura (Tuna) – RM2.80, and also tofu skin – RM2.80. As for dessert, we choose Itachoco Monaka (it is ice cream in the middle of two pieces of biscuits) – RM6.80 and my favourite – Anmitsu Parfait ( green tea ice cream with fruits) – Rm12.00.

Very fresh salmon and tuna, do not have fishy smell. A must for salmon fan !

Itachoco Monaka – It is quite a special dessert, I like it.

Anmitsu Parfait, combination of green tea ice cream and fruits (peach, strawberries, kiwi) make a perfect match.

Overall, Sushi Zanmai serve the best sushi in town, the dessert are superb but not the hot meal. Both chicken Katsudon and Oyako Don are normal only. Give their sushi a try anyway
