Rojak in Malay community means mixture. Rojak is a spicy Malaysian salad of either mixture of fruits and vegetables.Rojak is one of the popular traditional food favored by Malaysian. Recently there is a new restaurant in The Curve by the name of Rojak Rojak. This restaurant serves various types of typical Malaysian food such as chicken rice, rojak, cendol, mee bandung,nasi lemak,toast…starting from RM2.00 per meal.

Rojak Johor (RM6.80) is Rojak-Rojak Restaurant’s main specialty. It is a mixture of various fruits such as cucumber, pineapple, bean sprouts and raw mangoes.
The dressing is made up of water, shrimp paste, sugar, chili, and lime juice. Ingredients vary among vendors with some also using prawn paste, tamarind or black bean paste in the mix. The ingredients are cut into bite-sized portions and tossed in a bowl with the dressing and topped with chopped peanuts,sesames and finely chopped bunga kantan (pink ginger bud).

Roti jala is another typical dish famous among Malay community.
How to make roti jala
A mixture of flour,water,eggs,coconut milk are added together and stirs till smooth and creamy.The batter then poured into a small container with many tiny holes, held over a flat pan and allowed to run in circular patterns.The thin layer of web – like batter is left to brown, foiled and served with curry gravy.

Mee soup – RM7.80. Taste normal, nothing special…

Sago Pudding – RM4.80. Pudding is made from plain sago with gula melaka. Garnished with shredded coconut and fresh coconut milk.It would be better if they served chilled.
