Rojak - Rojak @ The Curve

Rojak in Malay community means mixture. Rojak is a spicy Malaysian salad of either mixture of fruits and vegetables.Rojak is one of the popular traditional food favored by Malaysian. Recently there is a new restaurant in The Curve by the name of Rojak Rojak. This restaurant serves various types of typical Malaysian food such as chicken rice, rojak, cendol, mee bandung,nasi lemak,toast…starting from RM2.00 per meal.

Red Dragon Fruit

Red Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus undatus) also known as Pitaya, it is grows on cactus wine. The Vietnamese name for dragon fruit is Thanh long.The simplest way to eat red dragon fruit is to eat the fruit serve chilled and cut in half. Scoop out the flesh and seeds much like a kiwi fruit. It is serve on its own or tossed through a salad and served with fish or chicken (normally Vietnamese use it for chicken salad).
The red dragon fruit need to be eaten straightaway, to avoid it becomes too soggy.
Red dragon fruit loaded with powerful antioxidants, high in fiber and it is good in helping to protect against stress related disorders.It used as a traditional remedy to treat poor eyesight, diabetes and rheumatism.

Hokano @ Damansara Utama , PJ

There is a typical looking Japanese restaurant - Hokano, located in Damansara Uptown. It occupied only half of the shop (on the outside), few shops away from Maybank.
Hokano serves various Japanese food ranging from premium salmon teriyaki to assorted of sushi rolls.The main specialty is Hokano roll. The Hokano roll (RM16.95) comes in 8 pcs,the roll has prawn tempura, eel,crabstick, cucumber and avocado.The surface of the roll was garnished with orange colour fish roe. We started our dinner with chuka idako (fried baby squid) and sake.
