Nyonya Kitchen situated in Uptown Damansara. It is their third outlets in Malaysia so far, after Klang and Shah Alam. I passed by this place few times…till last Fridays…I decided to give it a try…The food was not bad, average…not too spicy…We ordered acar for our appetizer..The acar cost only RM2, and it tasted good…with balanced blend of peanut, not too sour, not too sweet…

We had ayam pontay (RM8.80) and mix vege (RM7.80) for our main course. Ayam pontay is stewed chicken with potatoes, mushrooms in fermented soybean. Its’ taste quite plain, different from typical nyonya food. The mix vege (cabbage, black fungus, beancurd skin, slices of carrot) tasted normal, like normal Chinese cooking style…

The main attraction was chendol (RM2.50),the plain white chendol tasted normal but after addition of gula melaka, wow…like magic…tasted so delicious, so yummy…This chendol is special as it doesnt have any condensed milk or coconut …only plain mixture of ice, chendol, corn, red beans and of course gula melaka…must try!!!

After the dinner, we were served with watermelon…FOC
