A little while back a week ago, I was on my regular hunting for food mission in Kepong when this little shop with very short name caught my sight. Or-ju … Whatever that means I wasn’t too sure, but it’s Korean food and it’s one of my favorite so I thought I will check them out.
Going in together with 2 other friends, we were fondly surprised at the numerous items on the menu. I was also quite surprised that prices were so much cheaper than other Korean food places I have been.
Being a food fan, I knew I had to order something interesting to please my audience… Let me see… hmmm, chicken, fish… ah… I found BBQ MUTTON SET. Wow … for only RM 14.90. We also ordered PORK Rice SET (RM9.90) , Korean Dim Sum (pork and Kimchi) for only RM7.90/6 pieces and a noodles with mix vegetable set for two persons(RM11.90).
If we can recap, we were really caught in a “surprised attack”
1. Many items in menu
2. Very cheap prices for Korean food
3. Very upper market food for cheap price (LAMB)
As the food comes, we have this general impression “Cheap thing no good, good thing no cheap” We were so wrong!
Surprise surprise…
4. Large serving for all that we ordered
5. Every dish we ordered comes with 3-4 small dishes. Example kimchi, anchovy, soup (like SEO GUNG)
6. Best part… small dishes REFILL

hmmm, hmmm… what? REFILL?? Not water, not chinese tea refill, but small dishes ! Imagine you like kimchi and you keep asking for more. They don’t look very piss off about that.
. However we were pretty shy crowd. We just asked for 2 refill (kimchi).
We were also pleasently surprised that
7. THE FOOD TASTE GOOD TOO!!
We had a very good dinner as all of the dishes were above average. Here are out ratings
a.) BBQ Lamb Set (9/10)
b.) BBQ Pork Set (9/10)
c.) Noodles with mix vegetable set (9/10)- The noodles are cold with sweet and sour taste.
d.) KimChi Fried Rice (8/10)
As we asked for our bill, we were shocked and utterly speechless! Surprised again.
8.) FREE GINSENG OR GINGER TEA! (Cost RM4 for Ginseng tea and RM3.50 for Ginger tea on the menu)
We haven’t been to anywhere in Kepong or KL or maybe we never had anyone who offer so much value in a single meal. Hey, don’t play play, they do not serve you second class or diluted tea… all is pretty concentrated ones.
Our conclusion is… Or-ju won!!! We will definitely come back for more stuff on their menu.

1The soup… don’t forget the soup… yeah it comes free with each dish, but to me that was the unsung hero of the entire meal. It’s sort of vaguely like chinese sai yong coi tong (西洋èœæ¹¯) crossed with miso-like flavour but with nicely succulent seaweed. The restaurant really should consider making this soup a separate order, preferably in a large pot. Yummm….

Yes, it is opposite Jusco, the owner is Korean but not the staff. Anyway, the quality and taste of the food no longer good… Daorae will be better option if you like Korean food.
