Sydney Chinatown offers an incredible range of restaurants and is one of Sydney’s best dining precincts. There are over 60 restaurants and food court stalls around Chinatown and Haymarket, offering many Chinese regional specialities, plus Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese and Malaysian cuisines. Sydney Chinatown is a colourful mixture of asian culture, shopping and cuisine. The area’s distinctly oriental architecture, street lanterns and archways confirm it as a showpiece for Australian Chinese culture. Besides that, Sydney Chinatown has many gift shops, offering close down promotions. They have it all year long…so dont be cheated by them.

Entrance of Sydney Chinatown.                              Chinatown at 6pm.

Chicken lunch set AUD7.50, the portion was really big, enough for 2 persons. The rice -with natural more fragant aroma, taste differently from Malaysia local rice. This lunch set is really a balance diet meal.
Â

Sze Chuan minced pork noodles, AUD4.50, also enough for two persons.

Our dinner in one of the restaurant in sydney Chinatown, again rice and tea are free of charge. We had fish fillet with onion, fried kailan and mixed taufu soup, cost AUD20++.

The main dish is the steamed oyster,AUD15 for half dozen of oyster. The freshness of the oyster is fantastic, yummy…Dont think can get even in big hotel in Malaysia.

1Chinese can be found all around a world. Therefore, there are some places so call ‘China town’ anywhere. There are no only the art of building but the Chinese food too always make the china town become a very attracting place.
Although Chinese is very easy to be assorted into the very different culture or custom including replacement of Chinese language with other language, life style, clothing and so on but, Chinese properly will remain to keep the art of their food. Therefore, one of the unique things could be found in china town is the Chinese food.
“Food is bringing the sense of home town†is a sense of most typical Chinese. Therefore, while having the Chinese food, a Chinese will properly think back of their hometown.
